Our story

It started in a high school horticulture class.

We’re Tricia and Seth Engelbrecht, owners of Engelbrecht Farm in Waverly Iowa. We purchased our farm in 2021, but our flower farming journey started long before that. Our passion started when we took horticulture in high school together; we just enjoyed growing things from there.

We started out giving flowers away to friends and family but in 2014 we became venders at the Waverly Farmers Market selling flowers, maple syrup, mushrooms, and plants. In 2017 we rented a FEMA lot and tilled it under as our new garden, and grew all of our flowers there until 2022 when we moved it all to our farm.

Our farm is our dream come true and a place where we can raise our family and share the flowers beauty with our community.
